We use 18k gold vermeil, where the gold layer is about five times thicker than regular gold plating. Beneath this layer is pure sterling silver, providing a strong and durable finish. To qualify as gold vermeil, the gold must be at least 2.5 microns thick over the sterling silver, offering a more affordable alternative to 18k solid gold while maintaining a luxurious appearance.
