BOÎTE LAQUE’s private bespoke service transforms the memory of someone deeply loved—a companion animal, a family member, a partner, a friendship, a place, or a chapter of your life—into a one-of-one fine jewelry heirloom.

There is no standard design.

We begin with your story.

You may share a photograph, a memory, a favorite gemstone, handwriting, a flower, a constellation, a meaningful color, an inherited jewel—or simply tell us about someone you never want to forget.

From there, we create something that could belong only to you.


THE PIECE SHOWN

The black cat pendant pictured here is an example of a BOÎTE LAQUE private commission.

At its center is an extraordinary 67.93 ct natural bicolor tourmaline, measuring approximately 29.57 × 16.65 × 13.69 mm.

The gemstone transitions naturally from deep green through warm peach-orange tones.

Rather than creating a literal portrait of a beloved companion, we imagined the black cat as a guardian.

It gently embraces the gemstone beneath its own universe of diamonds, stars and crescent moons.

Every detail carries meaning.

And another client’s jewel would tell an entirely different story.

Your piece may be inspired by a beloved animal, parent, partner, family member, friendship, personal milestone or another memory you wish to carry forward.

Depending upon the commission, we may work with:

GEMOLOGICAL DOCUMENTATION

Important center gemstones may be accompanied by an independent gemological laboratory report when appropriate to the gemstone and commission.

The 67.93 ct natural tourmaline shown in this example is accompanied by a Guild Gemological Report, identifying it as natural tourmaline with no indication of treatment. (We also work with GIA , if you would like GIA report we also able to send the piece to GIA for report. )

Completed commissions also include BOÎTE LAQUE documentation describing the materials and gemstones used in the finished jewel.

Laboratory documentation will vary according to the gemstone selected.


PRIVATE COMMISSIONS

Bespoke commissions begin at $6,000.

Signature commissions typically range from $10,000–$15,000.

High Jewelry and exceptional gemstone commissions typically begin around $15,000 and may exceed $25,000+, depending upon gemstone selection, precious metals, scale, complexity and craftsmanship.
